Reckitt Benckiser Health’s HR chatbot ‘RBuddy’: Inching closer to the future of work
Workplace chatbots are turning out to be such helpful invention, transforming global organizations into intelligent enterprises.
With focus on “Future of Work”, workplaces of today are becoming more flat, interconnected, and anytime anywhere. Thanks to technology advancements like smartphones, artificial intelligence, and chatbots, some really creative and problem-solving solutions are emerging to make day-to-day jobs much easier and efficient for all employees.
That said, conversational AI powered chatbots are one such invention of recent times, which transformed the way we interact and handle transactional affairs. In most large enterprises, a small HR team is swamped with handling 100s of repeated queries from 1000s of employees daily, affecting their productivity and employee satisfaction. But thanks to newer technology solutions, HR is becoming more efficient while employees are delighted with responses to queries.
RB Health, Reckitt Benckiser’s healthcare products arm, has recently launched an HR chatbot called ‘RBuddy’, which was developed in-house using Kore Bots Platform and Deloitte’s expertise. A self-learning and evolving chatbot, RBuddy is adept at all kinds of HR processes, policies and addressing daily work-life related queries. From leave policies and status, to harassment or grievance redressal policies, or even about the weather for the day, and you can bank on RBuddy for a useful response. That’s not all, it can even tell jokes.
Introduction of RBuddy is contributing to a great employee experience overall, according to Udayan Dutt, RB Health’s regional HR director for Africa, Middle East & South Asia.
The chatbot has seen a high acceptance rate within short span, and continues to register 5% new users every day as it “encourages people to adopt new ways of working, preparing them better for the workplace of the future.”
